I did this mask for no reason what so ever...just wanted to do one, then ofcourse had no where to put the darn thing!!! It is a bit weird looking, and I sort of figured you always do with something 'interesting' to look at in the toilet, so that is where it has been put....messed up my 15 year old a bit, he had no idea it was in there until 2am this morning!!, there was a yell and a tumble and when I ran out to see what was going on he explained that he thought he was having some strange Dr Who dream!!! gotta love my dork!!!

A rare and Beautiful Thing

Well, Kelly and I decided to do the VERY bave thing of taking the little ones out to dinner last night. Kris and Scott were away and frankly I really didn't feel like cooking, or cleaning up Kelly's mess for that matter. So out to the local steak house with the 4 and 5 year old. We never do this...ever!! it just seems to always get put in the too hard basket, yet to our surprise they were really well behaved!!, Lily was just so excited to be getting dressed up and going out she was determined to be a perfect lady and Ronin was greatly assited by a convieantly located TV that was showing motorcross, that kept him entertained. They ate most of thier dinner and all thier ice-cream and both were out like a light at 8pm in the car on the way home. It was so so nice, probably not to be repeted any time soon...who's got the money for that, but it was lovely all the same.

I even managed to get some pic's before we left...I think you can tell how excited they were...they were happy to touch each other, without a balled fist!!!

Watching my garden grow

OK, lets just say I have pretty much always been a black thumb...everything I have ever tried to grow has died a slow (and sometimes fast) painful death. But after my sucess with my rose, I have branched out a little...hehehe. A while back I planted Lilies...sucess, and then tomatoes...another sucess, (the stawberries haven't been so lucky), but never the less today Ronin and I potted five different citrus trees.....something I never would have EVER attemped to grow before, so fingers crossed

Anyone still out there????....LOL

I know it's been me, I have been so run off my feet and my head not in a 'blogging' space I can't even begin to tell you. But I am back again, and I thought before I start anything eles, I should do a bit of a recap on the last few weeks...basically tro update myself too!!!

Lets start with my two middle children have started at new schools. For a variety of reason, mostly to make everyones lives a little less chaotic. Lily is now going to the chool down the road, and Ronin will start prep there next year.
Not the greatest 'First day at a new school' photo, but at least I got one, she was a little nevous this morning.

And dear Scott has started at a strictly high school, up till now he has been at a P-12, so it's all a bit frightening for him too. But he is such a great kid and yesterday(being his first day) was FANTASTIC, and he says he is fitting in nicely. One of the girls at lunchtime sat down next to him and gave him the run down of, who's with who, and what 'Days of our Lives' type dramas are currently going on in year 8, so I can only assume he made a fairly good impression...:)

Little Lily has also had her Ballet exam. And she did it all by herself!! something that would have made me want to vomit...in fact the fact that she was doing it was enough to make me want to vomit!!, but she is such a confident little thing it was no problem at all for her, and all the examiner wanted to tell us was that she was 'exceptional'....gotta love that!!!

Now on the home front, and let this be a warning to all of you, renovating your bathrooms is HORRID!!!!!, actually beyond horrid and going into a total NIGHTMARE!!!. It's messy, dusty, time consumining, frustrating, and always costs FAR more than anticipated!!, I can only begin to tell you how much this little room has taken over my life, and needless to say my poor vacume cleaner will never be the same again...might need retiring I think, it deserves it!!!

And Ha Ha Ha...bet you thought I would Never Ever get to anything creative!!!!....well lets just say there hasn't been too much activity in the scrap room. But I did do this. A bit different for me, but I like the softer colours

And lastly but certianly not least, my sister Trisha welcomed her 3rd baby, and first daughter, Madison Riley on the 10th of last month, weighing just on 6 pounds she is a beatuifl little thing and soon to appear on many LO's VERY soon...:)

PHEW...well I think thats it, although I am sure it's not. Is it just me or does life keep getting busier?????!!!!, sometimes I just want to stop the bus and get off for a litlle while, but I guess the best I can do for now is the sweet 6 hours inbetween morning drop offs and afternoon pick ups...after I have cleaned up the demolishion that happens in the hours in the other times!!!!

Now I do know that alot of people have windows above the bed, but personally I just don't like it. There's something about looking up and seeing curtins or blinds that just doesn't appeal to me, and I think I read once that it's bad feng shi or something (good dreams all flying out the window or something or other). Anyways the new house had a window above the bed, as wll as another big full length one, sooooooooo, I got hubby to take off all the window framing and cover the damnable thing up (we made sure the window was closed...lol) and frame around it. So I painted a bit of an arty looking thing on it and used my favourte airconditioning blades for the flowers.....You Like???????

Let me start by saying that as a general right I don't drink. Not that I have anything against a glass...or so of wine, it's just that I have sort of figured out that I am silly enough without it, and ofcourse with 4 children I don't ussally have the time or opportunity. But Saturday night was a rare occassion. My beautiful parents had bought a table at the Beenleigh PCYC charity dinner, and seeing as there are 10 of us adults in the immediate family (me,mum and dad, my sisters, and our partners) it sort of became a family event. Mum and Dad picked us up, and the kids were babysat, and I had a few glasses of champange...and then a few more.....ho hum. Probably the first time in years I have drank more that I should have, and boy did I pay for it yesterday, but at the time it was great!! I think as a family we all laughed so much our sides hurt. My sister Katie's Hubby got up and danced with me, poor guy, totally bullied him into that one!!
Anyways I took my camera and although the pic isn't great (cheak out the bottle pointing right at my Mummy's chin) it's been a long time since my sisters and I had a photo with out Mum and Dada, so I thought I would share

Well I guess that's it...thanks the heavens school goes back tommorrow, I have spent all day cleaning up and doing all my good little wifey chores so that tommorrow, the first day by myself in 3 WEEKS!!!, I can create something...well that's the plan anyway!!

this may well have freaked me out!!!, but it is all soooo Lily it's frightening. Her Grandfather built this bed for her and her Daddy painted it,The dressing table and bedside, used to be my grandmothers, then my mums , then mine, and now hers. Just a lick of white gloss and some glass knobs...nice huh??? so now the room is (in the words of Little Einstiens) Mission Completion....and I don't think it gets any more 'girlie' than this!!!

*sigh* oh to be a 5 year old princess...I am SURE I never was!!!

Mental Heath Warning

This stuff will have your cheese sliding clear off your cracker!!!!!

It's called K'Nex and let me serve as a warning to you- DO NOT give it to a 4 year old boy!! no matter how construction minded and clever you might think he is or how much he enjoys it. This stuff gets EVERWHERE and I am quite sure it multiplys and divides on contact with floors. You will find tiny bits of it under the soft tender bits of your feet, in the washing machine and for some unknown reason in the bathroom sink.
On the other hand, you might consider putting it away and giving it to your grandchildren, I'm all for a bit of revenge!!!

Check out this little guy!!!, It's his 4th birthday today, and his poor mummy can hardly believe it herself. The last 4 years seemed to have gone by in a flash, but on the other hand it's hard to remember life before this little fella. My baby that just sort of just showed up!!. VERY exciting morning here, as you can imagine. Monster trucks and Ben 10 stuff flying everywhere, not to mention a mountain of blue iced cupcakes for the kindy morning tea.
He's a cheeky little devil, my beautiful Ronin, and I wouldn't have him any other way!!!

Where have I been...hmmm...???

Well over the last weekend I was lucky enough to have been teaching at the Scrapbook and papercrafts convention here in Brissy. Doing some clases for the FAB girls at Scrapbooking Memories, and let me tell you I had a Ball!!!. The Classes went really well (well from my end anyways) and I would really LOVE to thank all the beautiful womens that came along, each and everyone one was an absolute pleasure to teach and and really nice chicks to chat with, made me feel so comfortable...even during the odd brain blank or coughing fit..:):):) Also had the pleasure of helping out a bit in the Fiskars classroom, with Jilly. So I was pretty darn busy, good way to be sometimes, but if I missed saying hello, I am sorry...:(

From my end it was nice to hang out and catch up with friends and make a few new ones, scrapbooking ladies certainly know how to have a laugh, something I really have needed after the last couple of months stresses

Anyways, back to reality now I guess, unpack all the boxes in my scraproom, and clean up the house too I suppose...Kelly just doesn't seem to see the same things I do, but how he misses the trail od monstertrucks and barbie dolls down the hallway I will never know...LOL

The Great Coat

This is my 14 year old son....whoooping great geek, in his most prized possession....I just LOVE him to bits right now!!!

For ages now he has been telling me that he wanted a trenchcoat, and while I was West End the other week I went into a Vintage clothes shop that I passed by, and here was this coat. I wasn't sure about it myself, I mean I thought it was a bit cool, but I am not a 14 year old, so I brought him back with me on the Saturday. And my poor boy fell in love...:). Now he has researched the damn thing and apparently it is actually called a 'great coat' and the army stopped issuing this particular type in the mid 70's, so this one is probably Vietnam war issue, although he wore it to scholl today for 'dress differntly' day and his english teacher thinks it might be WW2....who knows. All I know is my son has his own sense of style...and I like it...lol, I mean how GORGEOUS does he look!!!!?????

I so hate the rain....and there is just so much of it right now. For some reason rainy days always put me in a crabby mood. I hate the 'wet feeling' of everything. I think I could happily live in a desert!!

Anyways...whinge over, how pretty is this!!!.............

All my life I have had a deep love of chanaliers, yet have never had one. Kelly painted Lily's room a couple of weeks ago and my parents bought her this, which my Daddy (an electrician) put up for her over her bed.
No wonder the girl BELIEVES she is a princess....and behaves accordingly....:)

Now if everyone can think back a bit...a fair bit actually...:) I did a dressing table set for Lily that got published in SM. It was in Basic Grey's 'blush' range (when it was brand new) and had a paper skirt and punched circles on it. It was pretty....WAS!!! it had a little accident, we will call him Ronin. he pulled off all the stuck on bits, tore the skirt and basically scribbled over the remaining skeleton. There were tears...floods of tears, and not just from Lily. Anyways taking the opportunity by the horns, and much to appease the frantic daughter I told her I would fix it up for her, make it a 'prettier' pink ...yadda yadda yadda.
So here is the 'recycled' dressing table set, and Miss Lily is pleased....Phew

It did occur to me though that some of my older OTP projects are a bit dated now, but I just don't have the heart to pull them all apart to re-do them....hmmmmmmmm, maybe if I just them the around at 3 year old height and see what happens, you never know my hand may be forced in to action again. Sort of like leaveng the keys in a car that you hate....worth contemplation me thinks...:)

a wee RAK...and alot of fun!!!!

OK so I was down at Bunnings on the weekend (don't ya's just love hardware!!!...I'm serious), and they were selling out of some mosiac tiles. Now I have never ever mosaiced anything in my life, but I had a bit of an idea, so I thought I would give it a go, what was the worst that could happen??...I'd have wasted about $2 in tiles...worth the risk I thought.
Anyways I got my Daddy to cut a couple of peices of Ply wood to 13"X14" and drill 8 holes in the top of them both. And using my tiles...smashed to wee bits, and ALOT of black gesso, this is what I came up with...

I am going to use it as an album for arty pages...like an art journal I guess

And as a bit of a RAK, I used up a few bits of the left over broken tiles and a few other bits and peices to create this little 5'x5' canvas. If any of you would like it, please leave me a comment and at the end of next week I will get one of the kidlets to draw a 'winner'...they love doing that...:)

Well I am babysitting my newphew today and I have SOOOOO much paper work to do, and offcouse start to get ready for the upcoming Brisbane papercrafts convention....so looking forward to that one!!!

OK, so you would think that after knowing myself for 34 years that I would have worked out by now that me, rushing, and electronic equipment don't mix...lol, THANKS so much Lynn for letting me know about my posting error...all fixed now and the below LO's are now the right way up...lol...not sure if they look any better though...:)

Anyways, I have just gotten back from picking the kids up from school...don't ya's just love the school run, all the kids talking at the same time, getting louder and louder to be heard!!!...Lily always wins in our car, I think because she whines the most and the boys find it just as annoying as I do.

So all has been pretty good here in the Glass house.....pretty quite....got 2 new dunny's on the weekend, that's about as exciting as it has gotten though, mind you there is something nice about new toilets. All clean and un-used, right up until the boys have a fight about who is going to be the one to christen them. The worst part about that is that they are serious and the Daddy won....and was proud!!!....gotta love men.

Well best be off to make the dinner, Tuesday night is Hell night around here, Lily has Tap class, Scott has soccer training and Kelly plays cricket, takes a bit of organisation and preparation to get everyone where they need to be and fed....oh the joys

ANZAC day

Hi, Hello, How are ya??
Well it's ANZAC day and for us it's the first ANZAC day that our older boys have been in the air force cadets, so they are off marching this morning and I am just so proud!!!. Kristofer hasn't been issued his blue shirt or hat yet so he is not too happy about the polo idea and I guess you can see that in the pic, but I think they both look so beautiful all the same. The Uniform really suits Scott, and he is just loving the cadets...I think you can tell...:)

Oh and guess who's been scrapping....lol
I know it's been a while, and I think you can probably tell that too, but I am starting to get my mojo back after the moving break, so lets consider these ones warm ups hey???....:)

WHERE HAVE I BEEN !!!!!!!!!!

Well here's the story morning glory....:)

The week before Christmas last year the rental house that we had lived in for 4 years was put on the market...bummer huh?, anyways we were desparatley hoping an investor would buy it, but to no avail and in mid march we were given our marching orders so to speak.
Now let me tell you finding and then renting a property is HARD....really really really HARD. I can not even begin to explain the trama, and we have 4 kids and more stuff than I ever thought humanly posible. I guess it was made a little more difficult by the fact we didn't actually want to move. We were total set up in our old house and finding anything comparable within our tight budjet was a nightmare. Yet finally we have. It is an older home, built in about 1988 and hasn't had any renovation, so it's a bit like stepping back into my teenage years, with the lovely exposed brickwork and the racked ceiling....not to mention the delightful grey plastic taps, but it has 5 bedroom and enough space for us all, and a HUGE bonus for the kids is the beauiful big inground pool...happy joy.
The packing, the moving, the cleaning, and the setting up of this new place has totally occupied my life for the last 3 months, and then there is the school holidays .....man !!! well I guess now I can at long last exhale. My scrap room (I have renamed it Lazarus) is all ready to rock and roll, and I am 90% of the way having things where I want them. Kelly has already re-painted 2 of the bedrooms (peach is just not our colour) and over time and many weekends he will get them all done, and the rest of the house too.

I am so hoping that as the kids go back to school this week I will get back into the swing of my life, I miss my paper and glue, I miss the escape to create...lets just hope after this little hiatus I still can...:):):)

Well then, Hi, Hello, How are Ya????

How was everyones weekend???. Mine started on friday when Kelly's brother and children arrived from Bundaberg to stay and then Kelly and his bro went to the cricket, so I had 7 kids including 4 teenagers at home with just little old me for the night...phew I don't know how these ladies with so many kids do it, I thought I was slightly mad having the 4...but 7!!! it's a wonder these women can get out of bed in the morning.
Now Valintines day...pretty uch a non event in my house...Kel NEVER remembers, so generally I just try and make him feel bad by buying him a box of chocolates while I am grocery shopping...which we both procede to eat after the kids go to bed....as I said HUGE event ussally....lol
Anyways all was good, and on the Saturday afternoon, kelly took his brother and a few of the kids shopping, so I stayed home with the others. About 5pm (this is where my Valentines day gets interesting) My little Ronin climbed up onto his big brother bunk bed, reached over at least a foot to talk to his sister below and then put his head into the ceiling fan!!!!
GROSS OUT WARNING FOR THOSE A LITTLE SQUEMISH
there was blood everywhere, I swear it was gushing out all over me . I paniced and Ronin was going hystrical. I called the Ambo's who were AMAZING, they gave him a shot of Morphine and took him off to hospital. We were there til nearly midnight in the end, as my poor baby boy had actually cut his head so deep that you could see a hole about the same size as a 5c peice of his skull. LOTS of stitches, which isn't easy on a 3yld. He was really lucky though, no cracks, and only a mild concushion (please forgive my spelling). Happy Valentines day mummy!! So offourse I have spent the last couple of days watching him like a hawk...too many medical shows for me, as I watch for signs of internal clotting or hairline fractures and something terrible, but really the boy is 100% fine, apart from the massive bandage on his head, he hasn't even complained about a headache...he's a tough little thing

So I do hope everyone eles day was nice an romantic and didn't involve blood and trips to the hospital!!!

Just to lighten things up a bit ....Here's a couple of things I did for Tarisota this month, Check out my naffy pen, isn't she cute, all fabric flowers, not really practical I guess...but she looks cool...:):):)

Okey Dokey then, I guess I am off...Lots to do today!!! lets all hope that I don't just crawl up onto the couch and go to sleep....mmmmmmm sleep

OK, so I sort of don't know exactly what to say. The recent fires and horrors in Victoria have, shall we say, affected me. The stories, the pictures on the telly, the look in the eyes of the survivors....have affected me. For years now when some person, brave enough to ask, has asked me what it was like inside the fire all I have ever been able to say is that it is black. All black, like there is not any light left anywhere in the world, the blackness is all consuming. This is what I am hearing over and over and over again on the telly, and I can see it written all over thier faces, the shock, the pain, the world is unreal, and unimaginable, and will never be the same again. Damn Fire, damn fire bug.
Don't worry about me though, I am OK, just have had a little trouble getting my head out of my butt over all this, but I am OK. The thing that is really warming my heart is the outpouring of support for those that have been touched by all that distruction. I whole heartedly support all these efforts, and part of me...a really big part actually wishes that I could just jump on a plane and go and be some physical help to these people. Offcourse I can't, but the beautiful Sarah Gladman has set this one up.......

I know that the equally gorgeous Jilly has offer to post them down down to her in mass if that helps at all.
There is offcourse also this....To contribute to the Vic Bush fires fund, people can call Red Cross on 1800 811 700.

Well that's it, finally I have gotten back to the computer and posted, been finding it all a be tough of late, as we all do from time to time I guess. My poor sore and bruised heart goes out to all those that have been affected by recent events. To those in pain, to those that have lost, I wont say that everything will be OK, but I will say that there is always tommorrow and with that come a small, sometimes almost impossible thing to see.....hope

First boots...:)

Check out my littlest man, the man crazy little sports dude....lol. At 3 and a half he is far more co-ordinated than either of his brothers were at twice his age. Now I love my older boys dearly mind you and Scotto is quite the soccer player now, but it didn't come naturally to him, but it certainly seems that his little brother is attracted to anything that involves a ball!!!.
I am so not one to over induldge my children and a big part of me felt massively ridiculas buying this little guy soccer boots, particually because he can't actually join a club for 2 years, but if could be in my house and see the tears when his older brothers get ready for training you might have a little understanding for me. He hasn't taken them off yet, 6 hours now and counting!! Wore them home from the sports store, had a nap in them (I tried to cease this opportunity to gently remove them...to no avail) and now he is busily kicking the balls (we have many) around the back yard
*sigh*, oh to have that much energy!!!!

Well it sort of seems to me that seeing as the beautiful Tamar has posted it on the Tarisota site I can tell you all here....:)
I have been super lucky enough to be choosen as the guest designer for Febuary for the mind blowingly amazing Tarisota!!!, who would have thought little ol' me would bestowed such an honor!!!. I have had just the BEST time with this absolutley beauiful kit. When it arrived here at home I could have rolled around it it for ages, admiring it's beauty and potential. Everything just co-ordinates so well and all the peices are so beautifully put together, that Tamar really is a genius!!.
Anyways anyone that knows me knows I have a a weekness for babbling...:) so I will stop now, but I have just posted up a little sneeky peeky of what I have been up too....:):):)

My number 2 son

I cleaned up my Scrap room today...much overdue and nessasary, and while I was busy sorting and organising I can accross this photo of my Number 2 son Scott. I spent about 10 mins just looking at it, he is such a gorgeous boy, and with possibly the most beautiful soul I have ever know. He is gentle and loving and although at times he can be partically vacant (wonder were he gets that from...lol) he is the kind of kid that always seems to know when mummy needs a cuddle. Apart from that though he has this cheeky little evil streak in him about a mile wide, and wicked sense of humour and a laugh that could crack up the most serious of situations. I think it's the dimples!! he has always had these deep set dimples...too darn cute let me tell you.
Anyways, I did do a LO of it...just had to I guess

First day of Prep

Miss Lily had her first day of school today, and mummy has decided that the first day of school is all about BIG things. Big shoes, Big dresses, big hat's, big bags.....big everything, except of a tiny little girl to go with it all. Yep I was the mummy who put on a very brave face and then came home and cried in my coffee. Not for all too long though....the house is amazingly quiet right now and I am really looking forward to a year where I can probably plan...and then actually excute some stuff....lol
The older boys have been really looking forward to going back, just goes to show how truely bored they have been the last couple of weeks. Scott starts year 8 and Kris is off to year 11 and his first full year of IB studies...much stress and angst for him, and me too I guess. Ronin has been moved up to the pre-school room at the kindy today too...he's very excited to be in the 'big boy' class, I think mainly because they have more monster trucks in that room!! But all was well and pretty smooth sailing for the Glass household this morning. Surprising really, I can only hope the rest of the year is as calm....I can only live in hope....:)

Hi Hello Howdy!!

Well yesterday was my Birthday and I turned a whooping great 34!!, crammed alot in I have. I had just the best day!!. Although early in the morning my darling DH typically forgot, he remembered pretty quicky. Lily had spent the night at a Jilly's house, her very first big girl sleep over, so it was just me and my boys at home. Kelly got me a Chamalia necklace for christmas, so I got a new bead from him, as well as a cordless drill. Now I know that probably doesn't sound very cool, but I have wanted a drill all of my very own for some time now, so it was actually a really thoughtful gift. The beautiful Lu also got me a chamilia bead, the hexhead washer looking one that is actually solid silver...and very me and I love it to bits. My sister Katie got me the the 'sister' bead. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my necklace, it means so much to me, I love the thought that each bead represents a little of who I am....a bit too cool for words really!!!, gives me goose bumps....lol.
Jilly put on a BBQ at her house when we went to pick up the princess. and the gorgeous flowers are from her, Oh and she made me cake too....Oh gotta love her!!! We just had a great day and Kelly and Tim get on so well...nice when that happens, and even the kids were preety good too!!
My Darling Mummy got me the DVD's I have a bit of a Henry the 8th obsession going on at the moment. Does anyone eles watch the 'Tutors'???? They play it on showcase on foxtel. So I am not really sure if it is a Henry obsession or a Johnathon Rhys Meyes one....but I am loving it all the same...:):):)

Happy Birthday Baby!!!

This gorgeous girl turned a big 5 year old yesterday!! proud pose to prove it...lol. She is off to prep next week too.....big week for both her and me!!
Hard for me to believe that she is 5....harder to believe that I have a 5 year old daughter. I know that probably seems strange seeing as my eldest son is 14. But when Mikayla died a part of my brain gave up on alot of things, I guess it was my way of coping.I had a little moment on monday when I hung her uniform up in the wardrobe. I had been rushing around all day, and finally got home, had my medicimal cup of coffee and thought I best put those uniforms away. I put that little dress on the hanger, and smoothed out the wrinckles. This way one of the little things I had given up on...buying a little girls uniform, and all of a sudden I was a mess all over again. It's horrible how sometimes these things smack you in the face, and somehow comforting too. Love never dies, it all too true, and although you find away to get through your life (sometimes one day at a time)it's these little moments that remind me that that Mikayla was here, she made her mark, and that I love and miss her as much now as I have ever have. For some reason this gives me comfort, a confirmation that I haven't forgotten, and that I never will. I choose to hold these moments as precious.
And now there is Lilyana, another little girl, so very different, but just a special and preicious as her big sister. I have to admit that from time to time still, I look at her and can't seem to get my head around that she, this pretty little girl, is MY daughter.....my brain still talks back to me...'but you lost your daughter', something I still fight with to get by...obviously. I love my Lily to absoulte bits, she is everything in this world a little girl should be. She's in to Barbies and ballet, has all the males in her life completely twisted around her tiny little finger. I try so damn hard to make sure I don't put any extra weight on those little shoulders, she's not a replacment, but a different child altogether. Her milestones, are just that, her milestones.
So Happy Birthday to my beautiful little girl, and here's to a lifetime of them to come!!!!

(so sorry if I bummed anyone out....sometimes I do feel the need to vent, and I figure this is my little place to do so, for my own records...IYKWIM)

Kasier Craft January realeases

Ok here we go, I have just been playing with the latest realeases from Kaiser , so I thought I would share...:)
Now this first lot of cards is something thast I very rarely do...if ever, cards and I are just not good friends, I have tried, believe me, but trying hard does not a card maker make...lol. The thing is I once made a card for a relative (way back many years ago now), and a couple of days later found it in the bin...:( :(:(....I have sort of had trouble with them ever sincer, silly I know. But anyways, I totally take my had off to those that can, and do do cards, and do do beautiful work. So I have again tried my best!!!
Kaiser have realeased some beautiful new flower colours, purple and lime, and red....nice huh?

This is one of my darlin Scotto...he is not too impressed that it's all 'pink' as he would say...testing my boundries I guess...lol

Hi hello.....:)

School holidays are nearly over....small but excited woo hooo from me...lol. I love my kids and I do actually love having them home for a while, but they are getting so bored now that I really do think that school needed to have started this week....lol

Anyways I have had a little excitment for me this week...can't tell you yet....and NO(in big capital letters) I am NOT pregnant...lol, it's scrapping news...but later with that....;)

I think I may have metioned in my last post that I have joined up the blue Bazzar forum to enter the Mixed Media Art Journal challenge....so here's my first page

And I have done this little LO...just cos I felt like doing something PINK!!!...and really sorry about the photo...bit dodge I know

Hi and Hello All!!!, how was everyones new year??, mine was really quite, went to bed early even...so boring aren't I...lol

Anyways I have finally gotten back on the scrapping wagon, and I am totally determined to keep it up, and blog more often and all that good stuff. I am not calling it a resolution...just a decision, which for some reason works better in my brain.

so lets get on with it, This first LO is for a challenge blog...always a good place to start for me. This is ONE LITTLE WORD and the word to use is 'Start', so for me it is almost as though my life started when this boy was born, I have been his mother my entire adult life, so he was the best subject matter I could think of. check out the fuzz on his chin...aint it just gorgeous!! all of 14 he is, and decided over the scholl hoildays he wasn't going to shave, and now he loves it...not sure myself, maybe because it makes me feel so old...lol

And this is a LO I did just for the fun of it...my beautiful baby boy Ronin, and another milestone over the holiday break too, he is no longer wearing a nappy to bed, so never again will I ever have to buy a nappy...not sure who was more upset when Santa took the nappies away, end of an era for me, and a security blanket for him. He has had just a couple of accidents just recently, but all in all he has been so good with it, and I am mighty proud of my littlest man

This boggly eyed girl is my lastest Mixed media attempt. Insidently I have joined up with the Blue Bazzar forum to particpate in thier art journal challenge...should eb lots of fun and maybe I can even improve a bit...or alot!!!!, it's not like I don't have a long way to go....LOL

And I have been such a bad DT for Kaiser lately...so sorry guys...life has been a bit of a mess lately!!, but I have gotten around to producing some of the december realease stuff...here's a couple of LO's

But so darn busy I feel a bit like a blur in my own life
I have been scrapping...unfortunatly not much that I can actually put up here...but I will be endevouring to do some stuff just for me now that all my chrissy shopping is done, and I am all caught up on the world....lol

So what I have I been up to??...hmmmmm, well apart from the ussal end of school events, kindy break-ups, christmas parties, ballet recitals...etc etc etc, I did go to the Heidi Swapp classes on the weekend, and then out to dinner with some FAB ladies on the Tarisota DT....laughed til my sides hurt...too much fun

Oh and now with much thanks to the amazing Jilly GG I just can't leave the mixed media stuff alone!!!...like I need something eles in my life calling to me....lol, but anyways, I know that it anit as good as the mistress of the srt herself, but I have been having heaps of fun, just playing with paint, ink and stuff....much stuff, getting my hands all nice and grubby. I never in a millon years thought that I would ever even atempt to draw or paint the face of anyone...not really ever been able to get any sort of realistic...even remotely realistic interpretation of something that could resemble a human being....but in a huge show of courage on my behalf I have given it a go...and I even have been brave enough to put them up here for anyone to see.....all I ask is be kind, I am kinda fragile....LOL

Ok it may have seemed that I crawled into some sort of cyber hole, but in truth I have been a little busy and just haven't really been able to show you all what I have been up to....LOL

Anyways Kaiser have yet again done it YET AGAIN....lol, and released some truely yummy yum yum paper that I have had a ball playing with. The Pinky green one is called Waterberry (i did the 'scrap' cubes in that one and two LO's...loved it...lol), and the the greeny brown one actually has owl's on the other papers and is called 'what a hoot'....(the 'Grin' LO). But I think my absoulute FAV would have to be the red, white and black one called 'Sakura Park'....delious!!! (The 'my handsome boy' LO.

Oh and I also did this tissue box, in an older range....don't really know why, just felt like emmbellishing a tissue box...must have been a moment...lol

Anyways thats it from me I guess. How is everyones Christmas plans going....and offcourse the shopping. I am totally up to my you know whats in it all at the moment....November has truely become hell month for me...so many dates...so many places to be....TOO many things to do....oh well the joys of a family huh??...lol

How is everyone this fine Sunday morning...lol???

Anyways firstly A big shout out to our girl Lusi whom has just announced she is expecting her 4th wee little bubba!!!!......CONGRATS babe, so happy for you Brett and the rest of the Fam!!!

As for my weekend well, we have been a little on the busy side with kids and what not. Lu came over last night and we scrapped and laughed and generally had a good time throwing some product around....as you do....lol.

I did a couple of challenge blogs.
This first on is for Category Stories, and the inspiration was the word 'ick'.....enough said....lol

I also thought I would take a chhop at the 'Inspired by Amelie' site. Not too much to say really about this...other than I think you really shouldn't take yourself too seriously sometimes, and just let the laughter fly....lol

And one just for fun. Kelly and I took the kids to Southbank a few weeks ago to cruise around the markets, and eat icecream by the water....beautiful!!!

well big for me anyways..........

So a fair bit has been going on in my little world I guess, nothing huge, but I do seem to be hugely busy for one reason or another, and as a consequence I have been a very bad blogger...lol. So this post is a bit of a catch up on what I have been up to

Well I have done a couple of challenge blogs.....

Here my ONE LITTLE WORD. You had to use the word 'keep', and this LO started out as a good idea...I think it kinda went pear shaped a little...but oh well....at least Kelly likes it....:):):)

After winning last months challenge (woohoo for me...LOL) I felt all inspired to give this months WHITE WITH ONE challenge a go. This moth it is orange and white (offcouse) and incorparating stamping as well....I kinda like the results of this one....even if Kris looks like he has a BIG nose...LOL

Quite excitingly for me I have been asked to be a guest teacher here in Brissy for STAMPING AND SCRAPBOOKING MADNESS at Coorparoo, so here's the class that I will be teaching.....class times and details soon!!!

Now as for the family....all is well. We are currently getting ready for the end of year dance perfomance with Lily, and you can only imagine how exciting that is with all the costumes and sequiens. Kristofer had his footy trophy day last weekend and actually walked away with one for most improved...so proud. Scotto is plotting along as ussal, looking forward to the end of year too and his band perfomances...who would have thought he could actually play that damnable Baritone...lol, he is getting over a very bad case of midgie bites from the recent camping trip too. Anyone with red hair will understand how much flying, biting things love the fair skin tones. And my poor little Ronin has a bit of the flu, nothing dramatic, but he aint feeling the best...and now mummy is pretty tired too...gotta love broken sleep. Kelly has been a busy boy, off to the soccer last night, I am pretty sure he had a ball, and he's working lots of long hours too....I tend to be doing the 'single parent thing' a fair bit lately...hate that, I miss him. My sisters and I have started a mixed Netball team for Sunday afternoons...and my beautiful Lu is playing with us...cool fun, but sore muscles....:)

Hi, Hello, Howdy!!!

Well how is everyones school Holidays going?, mine have been pretty good, pretty quite actually which is nice. The big boys in my household are going camping for a few days next week, so it will just be me and my 2 little ones....fantastic!! scrambled eggs for dinner....lol

Anyways, check out the photo below....is that the worlds happiest boy or what!!!!!!
My fabulous buddy Jilly no longer had a need for this absolutley Perfect spiderman doona cover, and her generous soul offered it to Ronin. Well no sooner did we get it home and out of the bag then it HAD to go on the bed.....RIGHT NOW!!!! in fact. 'Im a big boy now' he proudlt announced and just about crash tackled Daddy when he came home to show him....so proud. Jilly also passed on these absolutley scrummy pink fluffy pillows, quickly snapped up and fully owned by miss fluffy princess herself....lol. I swear the girl could NEVER get enough pink in her life. They are sitting very prettily on her bed now....after much fluffing and cuddling to get them just right......:), (and yeah the background is the colour of her wall, it aint just pink it's PPPIIIINNNNKKKK!!!!!!

Talking of pink, a little while back I was somewhat accused of not doing 'pretty' LO's real well. I guess in a way I had to agree....so here's the 'Pretty' LO I challenged myself to do....pink enough????....LOL

Anyways I guess I best go off and clean up the dinner mess, from the dinner I didn't get to eat....stupid diet. I swear is there is one thing worse than cooking a meal you can't eat, it's cleaning up the mealyou didn't eat....lol

For this weeks DESIGN X challenge you had to randomly open up the dictionary and find a word, then incorparte it into your LO. Well I must say I did try and choose something at the back of the book...S's and T's have better words in my experience...lol. Anyways I ended up with the word Seize...yucky huh???..all I could think of was the movie Good Will Hunting, so I went with that...:):):)

Thanks for all the great comments this week....and YES I am aware of the spelling mistake, and I wish I could say that it was creative licence, but alas I am just terribly deslexic...lol. I ussally check ALL my spelling by running it by my human spell checker , the fabulously smart Lu. But on the day I did the LO I think I had already rung her about 6 times for other meanless crap, and didn't want to bother her again.
Hey does anyone eles have a bestie that you ring for no reason many times a day??? Lu and I ring each other alot...often many times a day for nothing really, we just chat while she types and I tidy up or something...like company I guess.

One little word

Firstly, I would like to everyone one of you that left me a comment last week. I meant alot to me, really truely THANK-YOU from the bottom of my heart. I really have always believed that most scrappers are honestly some of the most thoughtful, beautiful people I have ever had the blessing to come into contact with!!...(((((HUGS)))))

ONE LITTLE WORD, 'S Challenge this week is
the word 'Love' kinda appropriate really for me after last week. So with my beautiful Daughters in mind I did this LO. After losing Mikayla I had to let alot of things go...funny silly things, like the thought that I would never be the mother of the bride or even that I would never have to buy a little girls schools uniform. I found out early on in my pregnancy that Lily was a girl, I felt that I needed to be prepared...for whatever it would be. And really I couldn't decide weather she being a girl was a good thing or a bad thing, and in the end it didn't really matter, because holding her and having her hold me back was enough to put so of the pieces of my heart back together. I truely believe that broken hearts never heal completely, that peices will always be missing, but sometimes enough of the bits can grow and mend just enough that there becomes a space where love and hope can continue to grow.

Anyways...here's my LO

OK...so I pretty sure all of you can read that today is the the 10th of September. It's a beautiful day today in Brisbane, the sun is shining, it's warm, without being hot, and the air smells fresh and clean. I am a very smell sensitive person, and I can smell september like nothing eles, and it should be lovely. It has been a beauitful day in brisbane on the 10th of sept every year for the last 8 years. I know this because the 10th of september 2000 was the day my house burnt down and my beautiful baby girl Mikayla was lost to me. I always think it should rain, that the sky should be dark and the whole world should feel as revolting as I do....but it never ever does. Maybe it's God's way of telling me that the world is beautiful, or maybe that is his way of trying to cheer me up a little....but I really do wish it would rain.
I never do anything special on this day, it's not a day to celebrate. We have cake for her birthday, and celebrate her life then...but not today. Today I just want the sun to set...and exhale, because I know tommorrow I will feel better. For some reason today has hit me pretty hard this year. For those of you who have lost a child you will understand. I feel ripped off, and angry. It's just not fair. I don't want to visit a peice of stone on the grass....I want to buy a 10 year old girl some new clothes....or even fight with her over her hair. I want to hear her voice...not desparatley try to remember a little girls baby babble as she said 'I wuv oo ummmy', but to talk to her and ask her about her day. Today I miss her...just like every day....but a little bit more.
I don't want to bum any one out, but I figure this is my blog, and I need a little vent.
Read this, hug you kids, and look at the bright beautiful day, because it is beautiful, and smile. I know I will, and I will try my very utmost to remeber how lucky I am that I got to hold my little girl, how lucky I am to have those memories, and how absolutley blessed I am to be able to call her daughter.

My two older boys are from my first marriage, so these are the sons Kelly choose, after all I always said I was a package deal. The lovey Lu put me on to this challenge blog ART IS FOUND and thier challenge this month is to use music paper. One of the Lovely ladies that used to come into the shop gave me this really old sheet music a long while ago and I haven't used it in ages...it was so much fun to break it out again!!!

Goodbyes....and new Beginnings

Well as some of you may already know. I will no longer be working at CyberScraps. Not in the shop itself nor in the DT capacity. It has been a VERY hard decision for me, but in the end one I felt I had to make. I have truely enjoyed my time at CyberScraps and meeting all the FANTASTIC people that I had the opportunity to come across while there. Recent heath issues have been a big contributing factor, but also emotionally I was finding that my heart was no longer in it as much as it should have been, so the time had come for a change. Kelly is working for himself too, so my home work load had increased dramatically, and as may of you working mums will know all too well, there is only so much of me to go around....lol.

What I really hoping too is that my poor beaten to a pulp Mojo will return too. It is certainly not that I have lost any love for scrapping, just that I feel I really do need to get back to the roots of it all and scrap more for me...and just me. To throw paper and product around willy nilly, to expore and create and have FUN with it more.

And thats about it...pretty simple really, no major dramas, no real issues, no disputes or disagreements....just Cass simplifing her life a little....cool huh?

Anyways on a bit of a real personal note. Last Friday Kristofer, my 14 year old had a day off school because of the Gold Coast show holiday. Just in case you don't know, my Kris is attending the Queensland acadamies for Health Sciences throught Griffith Uni down the Gold Coast. 1.5 hours and 2 trains and a bus every morning and the same to get home everyday. He really is an amazingly dedicated young man, and I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am.
Well seeing as he had the day off and the little ones were at Kindy and Scott still at school, I took this rare opportunity to spend some time with my first born and we went to the Piacasso collection exhibit in at ate art gallery. Now I do understand that most 14 year old boys would probably rather have thier teeth pulled than go to an Art exhibit....but I did tell you my boy is a little different didn't I??....LOL Lu and I often joke that when he grows up, and becomes that doctor, we will visit his house and won't be able to sit on the furniture...cos it won't be for sitting...IYKWIM.....LOL
We had a GREAT time, we spent a few hours looking at the masterpeices and such, and as it turns out Kris has a liking for Renior...nice thing to discover, and then we had a lovely lunch at the state libarary cafe, before I spent a little while following Kris around the Library as he drooled over the thousands of books. The best part though, as we were leaving the Libaray to come home, my boy (who stands 6 foot 1) put his arm around my shoulders and said 'Thanks Mum, I'll remember this day always'. It was all I do not to burst in to a blubbering mess right there. To know my Kris is to know that the world is far to big for him to stay here in little old Brisbane. I think I have always known one day he will be gone, very far from me. I must remember to do these sorts of things with him...and all my kids a bit more often, simply because I think I have finally come to realise that one day all too soon they will fly away and I want these memeorys too...selfish mummy.

Yesterday was my first day back in the shop for a couple of weeks, so you can imagine my joy when I was greeted with the BRAND NEW BASIC GREY!!!!!

And offcourse I just had to play with it!!!....lol

AT cyberScraps we have all the new papers in the EVA and AMBROSIA ranges...too cool...I am partically in love with the new Ambrosia...all oranges, red, yellows and shades of grey...YUM YUM YUM!!!!

Well Bthe busy little bee I have been has returned home from the most AMAZING trip !!!! Hugendon was just fabulous and I loved every minute of being there!!!!!!Plenty of laughs and some really fun scrapping...ofcourse I just have to share some pics with you....believe me though...I have SOOOO many beautiful photos.
Check out Lu and I lying on the road like idiots...and the road kill in the background....LOL...we are such wally's. And the hhall is HUGE and so well equiped...BEAUTIFUL!!!!!, Rachelle, Sandra Lu and I had 3 busy days teaching classes to some really great ladies...some of whom I will never forget...Thanks so much girls for making my time there so much fun. And to Kerry, Lindy, Karen and ALL the organisers you did a truely AMAZING job...THANK-YOU!!!!!!
The little cottage you see is on Kerry's property where Lu and I stayed, can you honestly imagine how beautiful the sun rises and sun sets were???!!!, and Allan, Kerry's darling hubby, apart from cooking Lu and I the most amazing brekkies every morning, took us out mustering his cattle...so that's Lu and I (city girls...LOL) on the 4 wheel motor bikes moveing Allans moo cows and darling little potty calves to another paddock. Even though Lu had a little problem with a love stuck bull (don't ask...LOL) it is a memory I will will treasure for always.
I would so love to take my kids there, to let them roam amoungst the cow pads, and breath in the beautiful fresh air and see what Australia is really all about!!!!

Well back to reality a little bit...I am off to the shop today...I have missed it a bit to be honest and there is a crop on at CyberScraps this friday too...come along and I will prosmise to show you so many pics your head will spin...LOL

OK so you might be forgiven for thinking I have fallen off the face of the earth....lol. Well as it turns out I have had a few medical issues. After MANY doctors visits and tests and such it turns out that I have pretty bad PCO, (polycystic ovaries) which has given me diabetes, high blood pressure, weight gain, bad mood and high colesterol...apart from the pain and yuck. Not fun let me tell you, but anyways I am much medication now to control all that, so hopefully I will be back to my old slef soon.

Now that that is out of the way I can get back to the stuff I am really looking forward too. OUTBACK SCRAP convention is only a couple of weeks away and I can't even tell you how much I am looking forward to it. should be a BLAST!!!!!. Along with myself there is Lu Benson, Rachelle Mineet, Sandra Gerdes and Alana Steadman teaching. so it should be a really cool weekend.

we have the new Basic Grey Euphoria in too...lots of beautifl soft pinks purples, blues and greens...I mean who doesn't LOVE Basic Grey. I couldn't wait to have a play, so here's what I have come up with

One of the things that has been keeping me a little busy is Kaiser Craft asked me to do quite a few LO's for display at CHA...here's just a couple

I LOVE working with Kaiser, the people are amazing and the Products are Fab. Honestly, who would agree that they have come such a long way in such a short time. New things are coming out all the time and I am so looking forward to playing with the new stuff....boy papers, and it's not like I don't have a few of those....lol

Talking of boy's my Number 1 son turned 14 on Tuesday, and how old did that make me feel????!!!!!!, I know they have to get older, but does he have to get soooo big!!! he's massive really, standing about 6ft 1" already,with a size 15 foot, he really is far more man than boy these days, but honestly I still look at him and all I see is that tiny baby I brought home from the hospital. Kris was my smallest aby at just 6 pound 11, to me he was the tinest most perfect thing I have ever seen. To me he still so beautiful, both inside and out and my heart just burst with pride when I think of him.
Notice that there are only 4 candles on his cake.....OK so maybe I am living in just a wee bit of denial....lol
I love this pic of him and his littlest brother too, my bookends I call them. The older Ronin gets the more he looks like Kris, he'll be a very lucky boy if he grows up to be like him too....I so love my boys!!!!!....all 3 of the dirty, messy, grumpy little buggers....lol

And for my final excitment (well MASSIVE excitment for me anyways) we trading in the petrol guzzling tank for this cute little corrolla....isn't she gorgeous!!!. A week ago after filling the land crusier up and costing us $170 and knowing full weel that fuel wouldn't last a week, Kelly and I had enough and drove staright to the Toyota dealership and got rid of it...lol, Not a bad impulsive purchase for a Saturday afternoon...lol, we had the Corrolla on the follow Tuesday. She is so nice to drive and has already saved us money,.....she smells good too....lol

Anyways, I guess I have chewed all your ears off for long enough....people will start thinking this is Lu's Blog....lol....love ya babe

My Littlest man is 3!!!!!

Well my baby boy turned 3 on Sunday....so hard for mummy to believe. He is absolutely my last and therefore going to be my baby forever, but I do know he is not a baby anymore...far more a little boy. The little bugger was spoilt rotten, plenty of cars, trucks, and his current obsession, helicopters. Grandma got him a new night light and some cool clothes too....so the little guy did very well.

Of course he had to help me actually make the cake too....in my best Bridget Jones....Disaster

It is funny though I was only thinking the other day. Ronin still climbs in our bed in the wee small hours of the morning, snuggles right in and goes to back to sleep, right in between mummy and daddy. By the time all my others were 3 I certainly would have put my foot down on this way before now. All of the others would have been put straight back into their bed....I guess that's the advantage of being the baby.....mummy is alot more willing to hang on to those little things for just a bit longer.....lol
Happy Birthday to my surprise baby, the little guy I never expected to have, the one that just showed up.....that I couldn't imagine life without!!!!

Scrapbook Convention

OK so I know it's been a while, a very very looooonnnnngggg while, but I have had a few computer issues...thatas another story, but anyways

I just thought I would share a few pic from the weekend that was. And what a weekend it was!!!!! phew, I had an absolute BLAST, too much fun, and my feet know it!!. It was the first big convention that I have taught at and I was so very nervous, but I was given so much fanstatic support form the SM ladies and from all the lovely ladies that sat in on my talks and came to my classes I need not have worried. Thank-you to all that came along and making it so much fun for me!!
One of my favourite things about these conventions is the people that you get to met and those you can catch up with. We all ahve such busy lives it sometimes seems that we all just hang out for these things to say 'hi' to each other....lol
I met so many wonderful people on the weekend, the lovely Fiona from Kaiser in particular, such a joy. Mel Lu, Fi and I had dinner on Friday night and I swear at times I think I nearly laughed til I cried!!!
I have really eaten well this weekend, Lu and I crashed the amazing Chris Miller's dinner with all her crew....I had something that sizzled, not really sure what it was now, but it was YUM!!!
And then on the Sunday night Lu, Mel and I had dinner with the beautiful SM girls and darling Leanne Stamatellos, such a joy she is...more laughter, and a little too much wine for Cass I think...I get a little silly on wine, probably hard to believe huh....lol
The 'work' (it's hard to call it work) was fun and the people fantastic, I had such an amazing experience, really looking forward to doing it all again

New Papers!!!!!

Few things in this world get my scrapping heart racing as much as new yummy paper!!!
At CyberScraps we just got in the new basic grey and Creative imaginations papers ...so offcourse I had to have a play!!!!!

This one is Kaiser papers (also in the shop) but the Lo is of my 12 year old son and his...ummm...little friend Jemma, aren't they just too cute!!!!! it was so funny tring to get a photo of the two of them, they kept giggling and poor Scotto went as red as a beetroot, so sweet, so innocent, so made me wish I was 12 again...for about 2.5 milli seconds!!!!!

Anyways on an ironic note, for those of you that read the previous post about Kris's bottom lip (which BTW is heal FANTASTIC, and he played footy on the weekend no worries). I took Ronin to kindy on friday, just got home after dropping him off and I get a phone call. 'better come back, Ronin has tripped over getting out of the sand pit and has put his bottom teeth through his lip!!!' CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!. As it turns out is wasn't too bad an injury, a bit of a scrap on the chin and a small cut on the inside of his lip (same place as Kris's funnily enough), but the poor little guy was so scraed that thought he had to go to the hospital, like Kris, because there was so much blood!!!. He's fine now..if not a little concerned about his blood coming out his body again. I tell ya's I was very tempted to make Scott play soccer in a motorcycle helmet on the weekend...cos things come in 3's apparently, but he just laughed at me...and I was half serious!!!! that lip of his MUST be on borrowed time!!!
Neither boy will let me take a photo either..I had visions of a photo of the two of them with thier lips sticking out titled Busted!!...but they wont be in it, and it doesn't help when all Kelly says is 'just wait until Scott busts his and then you can do all 3'...men can be soooo funny...NOT!!!!

Where have I been!!!!

as the song goes...'Ive been everywhere man'!!!!

I have had an incredibly busy few weeks, met some asbolutly AMAZING people and had some real fun!!!Lu and I were lucky enough to be asked to man the Kaisercraft 'shed' at the stitches and craft show here in brissy. Met the fantastic Melissa Kennedy and Claire Stewart (formaly of SM and now working for Living Creativly). Was sooo much fun, even if were so incredibly busy and by the end of the 5 days I could barely feel my feet...lol. The car rides in a out of the covention center were a real highlight, as Lu and I car pooled with the ever wondeful Jilly GG, I don't think I have laughed so much while driving ever!!! (BTW Jill, thanks for letting me drive your car...love it!!!)
Claire is such a beautiful girl, real pleasure working with her, and she made giving those demos super easy. Here's a pic of Lu, Melissa, Me and Claire inside the Kaisercraft shed (thanks again for this one Claire)

I have also been busy preparing for the up coming Papercrafts convention too...so looking forward to that should be fun

And ofcorse 'OUTBACK SCRAP' is coming up in August too, so I am getting classes ready for that.

I did manage to get back to my supplies long enough to do a few LO's though...my beautiful bench has been calling me....lol, so I thought I would share a few of those

Now on a personal note, my elest son decided to give me an early mothers day pressie...NOT!!!
He had an early footy game on Saturday (he plays rugby league, by early I mean 8.30am. Not 15 mins into the game he for some reason thought it would be a good idea to stop the oppositions forearm with his FACE!!!!, he ended up putting his bottom teeth clean through his lip. He was tackling some guy one minute and the next there was so much blood I though someone must have ripped his nose off!!!. It was gushing out everywhere, so off to the hospital, and they transfered him up the the Mater childrens for plastic surgery to re-construct his bottom lip, which let me tell you looked alot like mince meat. I have to say though throughout it all he never cried, whined, or complained, he is only 13 and all the doctors and nurses were amazed as they said most grown men would have thrown up or passed out because of it all. The operating theaters were all booked up til 9.30pm that night so at about 2.30pm they came to us and asked him weather he would be willing to have a go at doing it under a local anathetic. Which believe it or not he did. I held his hand throughout, and it took over an hour and 30 stitches to put all the muscles back together and to recreat a bottom lip line. I will say though the doctors did an AMAZING job, although his lip is still very swollen it hardly lloks like the injury that indead it is, just looks like a bit of a split lip. So all in all he (and me) came through it all very weel, and he is still pretty to boot!!!
Now all you ladies out there with only daughters can breathe a small sigh of thanks!!

Well Cath has just gotten her brand new stuff in and I just have been having a play!!

I did this album to tell the story of how I met Kelly. The letter to Lily and Ronin is hidden inside...so you have to open and unfold in order to read it....lol

well busy days ahead...fun stuff though

I couldn't wait for Lu to start scrapping on my new bench. My poor bestie has been sooo darn busy trying to get her typing business up and running I have bearly seen her. I miss her, but you know, we all have to do the things we do!!! Thinkin' of ya babe
Anyways, I am not sure that I came up with anything mind blowing here but it was really fun to just play for a while

Well it's crop night tommorrow night and I will be catching up with Lu then and all the other lovely ladies, hope everyone has a fantstic weekend

She's done...and she's BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Well it has taken me all week, but my new improved scraproom is done...and I am feeling totally special and LUCKY!!!! I can't remeber the last time I had my OWN room, to with what I please, but here she is in all her FANTASTIC glory!!. Every little bit and bob has it's home and I know where it all is. Now the challenge will be keeping her this neat and tidy.

There are a few little things that I would like just to dress it up a little bit more, but apart from that to me this is perfect, all I need right at my finger tips. I am soooo in love with my bench I can't tell you how much!!!!

So anyone what to come play over at my house??????, as I think you can see I have probably got evnough stuff for abot 100 000 LO's....LOL just kidding, but I was totally amazed at just how much stuff I have gathered

Well School holidays are nearly over, and Kris has plenty of study to do before then so I had best go put my size 9 foot up his bum...LOL

We have now got the brand spanking new Fancy Pants range in at CyberScraps, and I had a good old play with it today. I am soooo in love with it. The colours are just beautiful!!!!

(Oh this one isn't Fancy pants, but the new 'Little Yellow Bicycle' stuff...so boy like!!!)

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Kelly and I have been so busy it isn't funny. Hopefully on friday I will be able to actually show you guys some pic of my new improved scrap room....and my fantastic new beanch!!!!

How was your Easter????

Did the Easter bunny come to you??? our easter bunny brought chocolate for everyone lese ...but mummy!!, never fear I am a great scavanger and there is plenty of it here to go round.

We spent most of our Easter break over at my mum and dad's. They have just put up a carport and Kelly went over to paint the underside of it. That in itself probably should have taken a day, but I got him to paint some outdoor furniture I have been eyeing off at mums while he had his spray gun out. Turned out to be alot more work that I first thought, but at least he got something done huh???LOL

I had every intention of getting some scrapping done over the break I imagined 4 days of relaxing paper bliss...not so, I did get one page done in bettween chasing the 2 year old around my mothers beautiful house, so I thought I would share

Ok so it's not the best work I have ever done, but it's...well...OK

Lu and I had a lovely 'Ladies' day yesterday, driving about a little in my Mummy's new car. A beautiful BRIGHT red Viva...LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

Not sure what I am going to do today..to scrap or to clean? that is the question...hmmmm tough choice huh?

I know I know...slack bad blogger. I will say That I have been busy though...like most I recon.

I have been doing lots and lots of stuff that I actually can't share so I have sort of been waiting until I did have something IYKWIM

Firstly...and very excitingly (is that a word??) I can tell you all that I will be teaching at this years OUTBACK SCRAP 2008
15TH - 17TH AUGUST

With the fabulosly talented Alana Steadman, Rachelle Minette, Sandra Gerdes and my one and only Lu Benson...Wooo Hooo so darn excited can't wait!!!!!

Now here are few little things I can share.

This is a LO I did ...just for fun...I am not a gold person at all, given a choice I will always go for silver, but I was kinda happy with these results

This is the next Everyday Garbage challenge...so here's a heads up for all those curious minds...see if you can guess what it will be????

I have been doing a fair be of DT work for Scrapware...here's a little sneaky peek

and a Scrapware LO...let me tell you the products that have I been working with lately are just too cool for words...feel very lucky I do

Quite a productive day really

Happy Monday everyone...big shout out to my Girl Lu who has been frantically busy cleaning up he bedroom and ALL her scrap stuff...you go girl!!!!LOL

Well I was in the shop all on my own today, quite lonely without my partner in crime, but I manged to get a few LO's done!!!!

For those of you thatare interected I have updated my Pub's blog with the Latest SM LO's. One of my fav's is in this months called 'Beautiful, but dangerous'. it's of my girl Lily and Lu's DD Caeligh, they just look so darn feirce in the pic...look out boys these girls will kill you....lol

It has turned out that we have Monday night off this year, no footy training , no soccer training, no nuffin...great!!!!!

well I am off to cook tea for the starving hoards...have a good one

What an EXPERIENCE!!!

I swear mother nature is out to get me!!!

let me start by saying I have never been mean or miss treated an anamil EVER...(except for perhaps getting up my cat for dropping field mice at my back door...I have a terrible fear of rodents)

I will start at the beginning.

Lu came over today for a bit of RS (recreational Scrapping) and about 11.30 we were into in it in my scrap room. The kids were playing quite happily and had just gone outside. Caeligh (lu's DD) had popped up at my scraproom window and I was leaning over my desk and chatting to her, Lu was sitting next to me. Next thing you know I feel something sharp (anf flappy) in the back of me head!!!! of course I screamed and dropped to the ground to the sound of Lu yelling 'Bird Bird' and we both ran outside. My Brother in law happens to be down on holiday so I yelled at him that there was a bird in the house as Lu and I exited the back (open ) door. 'What Bird???' Trevor asked. And would you believe we couldn't find it anywhere, and at this stage I hadn't even seen the damnedable thing as I had my eyes closed as soon as it attacked.
After a few minutes a VERY large magpie was spotted on top of my kitchen cupboards...see pic below. Now let me just say the thing wouldn't leave it flapped around and flew about for ages

Insult number 2.............

Now not only was I attaced by a Magpie IN MY OWN HOME!!!! the thing then processed to go back into my scrapping room and crap on my completed LO...ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH right in the photo. Here's a lesson for you all, bird poop is acidic and eats into photos. The LO is the green one below titled 'Refuge' and the 'r' an pearls were added later to cover the bird poop mark.

Adventually offcourse Trevor managed to get the thing out of my house, but really I would love to know what on earth I could possibly have done to upset mother nature...THAT MUCH that a bird flys into my house attacks me and then poops on my LO...really!!!!!!

Thanks for looking and reading....if anyone eles has any Bird related insidents I would LOVE to know

And now for some OTP sharies

Well I just thought seeing as I have done these things I might as well share them too

This first one is a Kasier Craft Timber canvas, basically a peice of MDF with a hole for hanging cut out of the back...but VERY nice to use and Very nice to cover in paper. The bling word is also from Kasier and at CyberScraps we have the whole range of them in pink and clear...totally gorgeous!!!!

This is a Scrapware tage album I have done. I used some monster playing cards to cover it and some really cool tape for the edges (thanks to the fab Lu for the 'vorrowing of product...again...lol)

And this is a decorative bucket that I made up for a friend of DH's baby. My little sister Trisha actually gave me the bucket for my birthday with a beautiful plant in it, and I had the flowers lying around for ages. The wings are Grungeboard and this stuff totally comes into it's own when you have to bend it around something...love love love

well me thinks that's it for now...busyy little blogger I have been in the last couple of days huh??

Hello Hello Hello

How is everyone???

I had a bit of fun in the shop today so I thought I would share....

This first one went all a big 'Bollywood' on me, can't exactly say how, but I sort of dig it

Now I know it is possibly a bit mean, but truely I don't understand why oh why my number 2 son has decided to play the Baritone. Let me tell you this monstrostity of an instrument sounds exactly like farting noises ...EVEN when it's played correctly!!! Nothing quite like 5pm in the afternoon when I am rushing around trying to get dinner ready and what not to the not so sothing sounds of Advance Australia Fair through a fart machine!!!!!....well that's my whinge and I am doen with it. I will say though part of me is just a little bit proud of the fact they he has choosen this thing, and is sticking with it...under what can only be decribed as intense scrutiny.

when thanks for having a lookie and a read, and I should be back tommorrow with my first Scrapware DT creations, I am having SOOOOOO much fun with this stuff!!!
